Andrea Iavarone and her son, Nicco, were removed from a Swoop Airlines flight from Hamilton to Ft. Lauderdale due to safety concerns for other passengers. Nicco is autistic and non-verbal. During boarding he became agitated and began to hit his mother and pull her hair. Iavorne claimed that Nicco would not have harmed any of the other passengers because he would have settled down after take-off; he was seated in a window seat beside her and had a seatbelt on. Swoop airlines refunded their tickets.
