Four people were killed and at least 27 others were injured when two trains collided in the Czech Republic on June 5, according to local authorities. One train was a passenger train and the other was a freight train. Rescue operations were conducted and ended the next day. The authorities said they will conduct an investigation into what caused the crash near the city of Pardubice. 380 people were traveling aboard the passenger train, the fire rescue service said. It was traveling overnight from Prague to the city of Chop in western Ukraine, according to operator RegioJet’s website.
