16 DECEMBER 2020: LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

James Phipps, a British accountant who was sacked from PriceWaterhouseCooper and jailed in the US following an assault that took place on a BA flight from Washington Dulles to London Heathrow in 2018, has avoided being struck off by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The institute concluded that the incident, in which Phipps drunkenly groped a female passenger and then threw a book at her face, was out of character and determined it to be an isolated incident.
