easyJet reported that their system was hacked and data relating to 9 million customers accessed. The data included email addresses and travel details, as well as the credit card details of 2,208 customers. easyJet was aware of the attack in January, notified customers whose credit card information was stolen in early April, and notified all customers affected by 26 May. easyJet claims that there is no evidence that customers’ data has been misused. The Information Commissioner’s Office is investigating the attack.
