21 AUGUST 2020: EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

Sean Clarkin, 59, climbed to the top of a closed multi-story car park at Edinburgh Airport and displayed a banner that read ‘England Get Out of Scotland’. Clarkin claimed the demonstration was launched to call for a ban on non-essential travel from England to Scotland in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Clarkin was arrested on 4 September during a raid on his home for breach of the peace, displaying an offensive banner, and for displaying a banner without permission on Edinburgh Airport property.
