Hemed Suleiman Abdalla, Zanzibar’s second vice president, travelled to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport and discovered that the security scanners were faulty. He ordered all the scanners to be fixed and claimed that the faulty scanners provided a loophole for illicit activities.
