A Southwest Airlines flight attendant lost two teeth after she was assaulted by a passenger on Sunday, May 23. “This past weekend, one of our flight attendants was seriously assaulted, resulting in injuries to the face and a loss of two teeth,” TWU Local 556 President Lyn Montgomery said in a letter to Southwest CEO Gary Kelly. Social media provided video of the incident showing Vyvianna Quinonez, 28, punch the flight attendant in the face. A passenger jumped up and assisted by blocking the two people. “Sit down!” the man is heard saying as he stood between Quinonez and the flight attendant, whose face was bleeding. “Don’t you dare touch a flight attendant like that.” Quinonez was escorted off the aircraft by police once it landed and was arrested for battery, the Port of San Diego Harbor Police said in a statement.
