24 Die In Suicide Bombing at a Rail Station in Pakistan

A suicide bomber blew himself up at a train station in Pakistan on Saturday, November 9, killing 24 people, including soldiers and railways staff. An additional 62 others were wounded, some critically, according to officials.

About 100 passengers were waiting for a train to travel to the garrison city of Rawalpindi from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, when the attack occurred, according to Hamza Shafqaat, a senior government administrator.

The steel structure of the platform’s roof was blown apart and a destroyed tea kiosk. Luggage was left tossed about.

Among those killed were about a dozen soldiers and six railway employees, local police said.
