A helicopter carrying Colombia’s President Iván Duque was reportedly struck by bullets in attack near Cúcuta airport. The country is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the culprits. Duque was nearing the airport near the border of Colombia and Venezuela when his aircraft was hit by gunfire. There were no injuries however photos released show the damage to the helicopter. Colombia’s police found an AK-47, and a 7.62 caliber rifle which may have been used in the attack. The national police chief General Jorge Vargas tweeted, “We are after those responsible. We will not give up until we capture them,” he tweeted his employees.”
