It was reported that a Druze family, surnamed Aboud, was pepper-sprayed by a guard at a checkpoint on the road leading to Ben Gurion Airport. The family were going on holiday when they were challenged by a guard, forced to get out of their vehicle, and held at gunpoint. An investigation into the incident concluded that the guard responsible for pepper-spraying the family had behaved unprofessionally and was dismissed from his position.
