27 FEBRUARY 2019: NEWCASTLE, ENGLAND

Reports emerged that Stephen McGee, 31, was sentenced to thirteen months in jail for being aggressive and disruptive on a Jet2 flight from Gran Canaria to Newcastle in January. McGee, who was drunk at the time, was frustrated after his flight was delayed for an hour. During the flight he told his wife “don’t you undermine me in front of other adults or I’ll knock the f*****g s**t out of you’”. He became irate towards a passenger who had asked him to be quiet, threatening him and pushing into a female crew member who had stepped in between them to de-escalate the situation.
