Marc Bertoldi was jailed for his involvement in the heist of over €37 million (c. £34m) worth of jewellery from Brussels Airport in 2013. Eight men in two cars stole 121 parcels filled with diamonds, gold bars and precious stones from Swiss cargo agents who were loading the jewellery on a flight bound to Zurich from Zaventem Airport. Bertoldi is the only man that was tried in relation to the case. Only €5 million (c. £4.6) worth of jewellery was recovered. He was jailed for five years.
