27 NOVEMBER 2020: TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS

Manuel Zelaya, 68, former president of Honduras, was arrested on suspicion of money laundering at Toncontin International Airport because he was carrying a bag containing $18,000 (c. £ 13,200). Zelaya was later released and claimed that someone placed the money in his bag. At the time of his arrest, supporters of the former president protested outside the airport and blocked traffic.
