29 DECEMBER 2018: HANNOVER, GERMANY

Hanover Airport was shut down when a car drove through a gate onto the tarmac and followed an Aegean Airlines plane that had landed. The man driving the car was in his mid-20s and was reported to have been high on cocaine and amphetamines. The airport was shut down for five hours and all flights were cancelled during that time as a precautionary measure.
