A bomb threat was issued against a VivaAir flight from Santa Marta to Bogotá. The threat was thought to have been issued by Mario Alejandro Buitrago Gutiérrez, who had been due to join the flight but was denied boarding due to an excess of baggage. Passengers were kept on board the plane for two and a half hours after landing in Bogotá while checks were carried out.
