3 NOVEMBER 2020: CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA

Joel T. Drogomir, 32, was due to fly to Cleveland, Ohio, when he told security officers at Charleston that he had a bomb in his luggage. Drogomir reportedly had become frustrated when security staff failed to find a razor blade he had concealed inside a shoe. After being screened, he asked officers why he wasn’t being arrested before telling them that he had a bomb in his bag. Upon further investigation, a lock box was discovered in Drogomir’s luggage containing a watch, a battery and the book, Industrial Society and Its Future by Theodore Kacyznski (“the Unabomber”) with ‘Kaboom!’ written on the front cover.
