Dr. Richard Jones, 45, a medical advisor to the British embassy in the UAE was given a caution for common assault during a General Medical Council disciplinary meeting after he became drunk and unruly on an Emirates flight from Dubai to London in 2018. During the flight between Dubai and London Heathrow, Jones swore at passengers and ripped a fellow passenger’s shirt as he allegedly tried to get his balance. Despite the incident, Jones managed to retain his licence to practice medicine.
