A Bell-412 helicopter, belonging to the Forest Fire Reinforcement Brigades (BRIF), was stolen from the Prado de los Esquiladores base whilst the pilot slept. The thieves unhooked the water supply system and flew the aircraft to Babcock International Airport, where it was later discovered. The theft is suspected to be a part of drug trafficking operation.
