George Duke-Cohan, 19, was sentenced to three years in prison at Luton Crown Court for making bomb threats to San Francisco Airport and 1,700 schools within the UK. Duke-Cohan had called San Francisco’s airport and police claiming that a United Airlines flight from Heathrow to San Francisco had been hijacked and had a bomb on board. Once the plane had landed airport authorities conducted a full search, which took eight hours to complete. Duke-Cohan was sentenced to a year for the threatening emails to schools and two years for the threat to airport security.
