It was reported that Miles Cowell was sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £20 victim surcharge in connection with an incident that took place on a Jet2 flight from Faro to Newcastle in April. Cowell became intoxicated on seven strawberry daiquiris, which he mixed with prescription drug, Diazepam. Cowell repeatedly threw his weight into the back of his seat, causing food and drink to be spilled across a boy with autism seated behind him. Cowell also became aggressive towards his partner, who requested to move seats.
