Equipment was stolen from Grand Fork Airport’s beacon. The equipment, including electricity generating and navigation instruments such as a solar system parts, alternative fuel generators and ethanol fuel cells, is estimated to be worth around $40,000 (c. £32,300). The robbery rendered the airport inoperable at night because major components of the runway and perimeter lighting were stolen.
