9 JUNE 2019: TORONTO, CANADA

Tiffani Louise O’Brien wrote on Air Canada’s Facebook page that she had woken up on a pitch-black empty plane, after falling asleep on a flight from Quebec to Toronto and then being left on board. She attempted to charge her phone, which was dead, and use the radio in the aircraft but was unable to because the power was off. She then stated that she found a flashlight and attempted to signal from the plane. She was able to figure out how to open the aircraft’s door but could not get down. She continued to signal with the light and caught the attention of a baggage handler who brought a ladder for her to get down.
