British journalist Dom Phillips and Bruno Araújo Pereira were reported missing in early June while on assignment in the Amazon. Rescue teams had been deployed to search for them. But, on Wednesday, June 8, blood has reportedly found in a boat owned by a man who quickly became a suspect in the disappearance of the journalist and indigenous affairs expert. The suspect was arrested and as we went to press, he admitted to killing Phillips and Pereira. He then led investigators to the bodies of the two men.
