9 NOVEMBER 2020: NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS

The Bahamian Airport Authority failed to overturn the verdict that their negligence was responsible for the theft of a Western Air aircraft from Lynden Pindling International Airport in 2007; therefore, the airline can seek compensation from the airport authority. The perimeter fence was not secure, and the Privy Council stated the authority made no effort to stop the plane from taking-off despite it being reported. Additionally, the airline was not permitted to provide its own private security for their plane.
