ACTS Selected as Curbside and Public Area Interfaces Security Provider to Denver International Airport

ACTS Airport Services, Inc. announced its partnership with the City of Denver as the selected provider for the Curbside and Public Area Interfaces at Denver International Airport (DEN).

In mid-September, ACTS became DEN’s partner in the delivery of customer service while overseeing terminal traffic control, protection of sensitive security access points, door alarm response in DEN’s main terminal, loading dock oversight, security incident resolution, patrols, credential verification, and vetting of visitors. As part of their responsibilities, the security officers of ACTS support the entry of over 34,000 vehicles per day into the passenger pick up and drop off locations at the main terminal.

This award from the City of Denver represents the fifth airport to select ACTS as its partner in delivering safety and security solutions since December 2019. As ACTS continues its expansion into airport services, DEN represents the largest service contract to date and the first airport in the western U.S.

Sam Juchtman, president and chief operating officer of ACTS airport services commented: “ACTS is thrilled to have started the Curbside and Public Area Interfaces contract with Denver International Airport. As the third busiest airport in the world, we believe that the security services which ACTS are delivering to DEN will enhance the peace of mind and safety of those traveling through Denver. We look forward to working with DEN and adjusting our security operations to meet their evolving needs as the Airport moves forward with its renovation and expands its service capabilities.”

Through the contract implementation at DEN, ACTS added close to 70 security guards, supervisors, and management positions. ACTS hosted several open houses to meet the incumbent Security Services personnel at DEN and discuss their future employment. ACTS then expanded its efforts and events to identify new employees whose background and security knowledge aligned with needs of both DEN and ACTS. ACTS continues to hire new security officers in Denver, with further job fairs planned in January 2023.

As part of ACTS’ multi-year agreement with Denver, ACTS is partnered with Advanced Professional Security, a Denver-based Minority Business Enterprise, as subcontractor. Advanced Professional collaborates with ACTS in creating a diverse workforce and driven security operation at DEN.
