Apstec Systems, a world-leading innovator in Smart People Screening technology, is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Cooper OBE to the position of chief executive officer (CEO). Cooper has been a key member of the Apstec team for some time and with his extensive experience and strong operational background in security, he is uniquely qualified to lead Apstec into the future.

Prior to joining Apstec, Cooper served as the security advisor to the British Government on joint security programs with foreign governments. He also spent six years working on the London 2012 Olympics, initially as the head of Security for the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and subsequently as the Head of Security for the Olympic Park and Village during the Games. He also enjoyed a successful military career, heading up the British Army’s counter-terrorist bomb disposal, weapons technical intelligence, ammunition and explosives management capability.
