Bangladesh’s Department of Immigration and Passports opened a new personalisation and issuance centre for electronic passports. Veridos is providing the technology for the new travel documents. This is a part of a 12-year agreement, signed in 2018, between Veridos and Bangladesh worth 340 million euros. The polycarbonate ePassport data pages are equipped with a chip and Veridos’ colour personalisation technology CLIP ID®. This allows the holder’s photograph to be reproduced with maximum colour, to aid visual checks.
