A wooden ferry boat capsized near Wara, a town near Kainji Lake which is part of the Niger River in the state of Kebbi, Nigeria on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. The boast, carrying around 200 people, sank in the waters as it was ferrying people from Niger. Casualties are reported but it remains unclear how many lives were lost and how many people were saved, however reports say that dozens are likely dead.
