Siemens Logistics has announced that they will implement a new hold baggage screening system (HBS) at Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2. The implementation of new baggage screening units is based on the requirement that all baggage inspection systems in European airports must be equipped with explosives detection systems based on Standard 3 HBS. The contract with daa includes replacing the existing HBS, which Siemens supplied in 2010, and installing an additional line to increase capacity.
