Tanker, Cargo Ship Collide Off Japan Coast

A tanker ship ran into a cargo ship near the coast of Japan on Saturday, August 20. There were no injuries reported on either ship. Some oil leaked from the engine compartment of the cargo ship. That ship began to sink but was prevented from doing so after being brought under control. The incident happened 2.2 miles off the coast of Wakayama prefecture, officials said. The collision is being investigated.
