Euro Ops, The Westminster Group’s French subsidiary, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Transport, Urban Mobility and Road Safety in Burkina Faso, West Africa, relating to the provision of advanced airport securing solutions to the country’s international airports.
The MoU was signed at a ceremony in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on 17 May 2021 by Vincent Timbindi Dabilgou, Minister of Transport and Euro Ops director, Vincent Toscani.
The MoU sets out the program under which the Westminster Group will use its experience in the provision of aviation security to assist the Burkina Faso authorities to create “a world-class aviation security operation at the country’s international airports in accordance with international regulations and requirements,” the company says. Westminster will provide the required investment and expertise necessary to deliver, install and maintain the latest airport security solutions as well as provide training and management support services under Westminster’s proven long-term aviation security managed services program.
“Airports are an important gateway to any country and particularly so for landlocked countries such as Burkina Faso. I am delighted therefore that Westminster has now entered into this important Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Transport to help build, what I am confident will be, world-class airport security operations, so important in today’s world,” said Peter Fowler, Westminster Group CEO. “As with all our operations around the world we will endeavour to work with the local communities to bring prosperity and employment and I look forward to a long-term association with the country.”
