Wrong-Way Driver Leaves One Dead and Three Injured in Texas

Police say a driver who drove the wrong way on a highway in Frisco, Texas died and three others are injured after a crash Thursday night. Police responded to the crash at 11 p.m. Thursday, May 6 on the southbound lanes of State Highway 121. There they found three wrecked vehicles. According to police, one vehicle was going north on the southbound lanes when it crashed, head-on, into another vehicle. An additional vehicle crashed into the back of the southbound vehicle. Another vehicle was hit head-on and the driver and passenger of that one were hospitalized but expected to survive. The driver of a third vehicle was treated at the scene and sent home. The driver of the vehicle going the wrong way, identified as 21-year-old Bethel Gebrekidan, was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
