A 55-year-old airport police officer was arrested at Larnaca Airport for theft and abuse of power. The police officer allegedly stole passengers’ confiscated items and sold them in another country. The police grew suspicious of their officer when he would take frequent trips overseas. He was caught by police at the airport on his next trip with a suitcase full of electronic items, perfumes, sunglasses, jewellery and alcohol.
