A cargo truck en route to a warehouse in Eastleigh from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport was attacked and its contents, Sh120 million (c. £914,000) worth of mobile phones, were stolen. The truck was later found empty on a remote road. Mwangangi Kyalo, Jacob Waithaka, Patrick Irungu and Newton Mwenda, all aged between 35 and 45 years were arrested in relation to the crime. The suspects led the police to an estate where 629 out of 750 cartons were found. Daniel Kivuti, 40, the truck driver, is also suspected of being involved with the robbery.
