It was reported that Michael Murphy Jr, 36, was fined €750 (c. £655) and sentenced to three months in jail, and his companion, Stacey O’Mahony, 30, was fined €500 (c. £435) after pleading guilty to threatening behaviour and being drunk on a Ryanair flight from Tenerife to Cork on 1 May 2017. The pair had brought their own vodka onto the flight and got aggressive when cabin crew refused to heat up sandwiches for them. They became so unruly that the pilot considered making an emergency landing.
