An investigation was launched into Former Aviation Minister, Senator Stella Oduah, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly swindling N22 billion (c. £47,360,000) out of the government whilst she was aviation minister between 2012 and 2014. She allegedly used the money to buy broadcast equipment for Crystal Television Ltd, a newspaper printing press, six dredgers and quarry.
