An Indonesian woman, known as Mrs Kanya, was publicly commended for assisting the police in identifying two thieves who she saw acting suspiciously on a Jetstar flight from Singapore to Jakarta in June. The men aged 49 and 55 attempted to steal a total of S$437 (c. £250) in cash and were sentenced to 19 months in jail.
