Elin Ersson, a 21-year-old student, refused to take her seat for take-off on a Turkish Airlines flight in protest of an Afghani man being deported to Kabul via Istanbul on the same flight. Ersson livestreamed the incident, which was initially met with a mix of criticism and support from her fellow passengers. It concluded with the deportee being removed from the flight, at which point Ersson also deplaned to applause.
