Helen Butcher, 51, was jailed for 21 weeks after pleading guilty to two counts of assault, one of being drunk on an aircraft and one of using threatening words or behaviour. Butcher was travelling with her daughter when she became intoxicated on wine, punched a male member of cabin crew in the groin and launched a homophobic verbal tirade against him during a TUI flight from Manchester to Kos on 27 June.
