9 MAY 2019: MANCHESTER, ENGLAND

Hardeep Singh, 35, an Indian national travelling on a six-month tourist visa, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a passenger on a flight from Mumbai to Manchester. Singh flirted heavily with the victim, did not move to let her pass to use the toilets, forcing her body to touch his, and he removed her headphones to speak to her. When the lights lowered, he touched her inappropriately and attempted to kiss her. The assault lasted fifteen minutes until the victim was able to break free. Singh was jailed for a year and will be deported back to India once his sentence is complete.
