On a recent United flight, the crew was informed that a passenger was in labor. They were not near the destination of Washington, D. C. Fortunately, a doctor was able to assist the flight attendants, one of whom was a trained nurse, and the baby was delivered on board. The flight originated in Accra, Ghana. A United Airlines spokesperson said the two were taken to an area hospital upon arrival Sunday.
