Ethiopian Air Force C-130 Shot Down by Rebel Group

A C-130 aircraft (serial 1564, MSN 3822) from the Ethiopian Air Force was shot down by a group of rebels. The aircraft was a part of Squadron 15 at Debre Zeit Air Base. Reports say it was carrying explosives and ammunition in addition to personnel. There were dozens of people onboard, all of whom perished in the resulting crash.

The rebel group allegedly responsible is called Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF). It is a rebel group fighting against the Ethiopian government.
